It is called the “Multi Extreme” for a reason. This double-sided trigon insert has multiple uses. Not only is it a high feed insert, but it can also be used as a 90-degree square shoulder. The maximum depth of cut when high feed machining is 2mm. Even though it is a negative geometry, it is very free machining on the spindle load. This insert likes a heavy chip load and is capable of feed rates up to 500 IPM. The Multi-Extreme is available in modular head, solid end mill and face mill styles.
